Sent family heirloom crystal glass to sister. Over-packed for protection. Marked fragile on outside of boxes. When she received them she described the contents as being crushed, smashed, and to her intentionally destroyed.
I had insured the packages and the first thing UPS did was "interrogate" her as if she had committed the crime of the century. Rude, obnoxious, overbearing. Even after several call UPS still took the position that I, the sender was at fault and they had no culpability. Typical insurance tactic; deny; deny; deny until you go away.
