Failure to stand by product

I have spent over $1200 on glasses at Sears Optical. One of the most recent designer frames caused a rash on my face. The cheap coating was coming off on the nosepiece and either the metal or the adhesive material was causing a bad rash which could have spread to my eyes. I tried to return them or at least warn the company. The rep wasn't interested in anything but rehearsing the standard speal that I was past warranty. I might have accepted this if there had been interest in getting the product number to protect others from the same problem. No interest at all. I went to Costco and discovered excellent service and significantly better prices. Won't be shopping at Sears again - after over 40 years of loyal customer service. Sad!
