Made up order and passcode

I went to an At&t Store to get a slim card because I had lost my cell. This was taken care of.

Then the sale representative asked me who is my Internet and cable TV provider, I told her Time Warner, how much do I pay, around $63.00/month for Internet only, we cancelled the TV cable with Time Warner and use Over the Air Hd antenna which is free. She proceeded in making me an offer for both TV cable and Internet that would be just a few dollars more then what I am paying right now. She printed a copy of this offer and said that she will locked this offer for 30 days so I can go home and discuss it with my husband.

Well, 4 days later, someone from AT&T U-verse called my husband and ask to confirm our order, my husband then though that I had went ahead and ordered it so he said yes to all of their questions.

Asking to confirm an order imply that one was given, that one already exist.

3 days later, we received a letter from AT&t confirming the passcode we chose for our account with them, the amazing thing is my husband did not nor I ever chose a passcode. The letter says that we chose a passcode!

So, bottom line is, there is agressive marketing and fraudulent practices like making up orders and making up passcodes all the while sending letters saying: you chose the following passcode.

It took me 45 minutes on the phone to get this order cancelled and I won't get into how weird this phone conversation was.
