On Sept. 6, CIC Credit Monitoring charged my credit card for $79.95. I don't recall ever authorizing them to do so. When I called their 800-number, they couldn't even locate the transaction.
I get the impression that calls to the 1-800-220-2626 number are being answered at a foreign call center. Although the person who answered my call could speak US English when they concentrated, they generally spoke with an Indian accent. They said that they would call back. I doubt that they will.
