Broke open a box shipped to me, kept and/or lost the items within. Rip-off!

This is in reference to tracking number 1ZRV97397240881430.

The package was shipped to me from California by AC Plating, as records will indicate per the tracking number. The package was delivered in poor condition, but I mistakenly signed for it anyway, as would any receiver under normal circumstances as it had been taped back shut.

The box was insured for 1000USD. Although it apparently doesn't matter whether items or insured or not, so it's a moot point, but these items were rare restoration motorcycle parts, freshly chrome-plated. Total value at that point was about 2200USD.

Upon opening the package, and realizing which vendor had sent the items, I saw that UPS had lost approximately 90-95% of the contents during transit. The shipper, AC Plating, filed the claim as per procedure. Weeks went by with nothing happening, phone calls to UPS security office's Ms. Gismondi in Orlando not answered.

Finally making contact by my making long-distance calls to that office, I was told to send images of the damaged box. I did this, and nothing happened for days. Again, unanswered calls until I finally get someone to answer, and yes, they promise to send the images to somebody. Weeks pass, nothing happens. I have the shipper submit a concern per instructions. Nothing happens. Nobody from UPS *EVER* inspected this box in person, yet the file describes it as poorly packed in a tissue box.in fact, it was well packed as packages always are from AC Plating, and in fact the box is a sturdy cardboard item that happened to have originally held paper products. The stated description of the box in UPS file is inaccurate, and written with denial of the claim a foregone conclusion.

No one from UPS has called me to date; all the calls have been paid by myself. Today, my last couple of calls confirm the claim has been denied due to insufficient packaging.in fact, the packaging was properly done by the shipper, but the corner of another box or something heavy had been dropped upon it, breaking it open during transit. Then the contents were callously dropped out of the box by a UPS employees, and were either not recovered or were taken by that/those employees.
