Have you ever you been falsely accused and detained for shoplifting at one of the Macys department stores? Well, what if I told you that Macys have been under investigation for racial profiling and practicing unethical strategies and techniques within their LP (Loss Prevention) department. There has been evidence (Which is trying to be concealed by Macys & its executives) and research that has revealed that Macys have been involved in isolating and focusing their attention on minorities (African & Hispanics) when it comes to apprehending and arresting shoplifters.in the past couple of years there have been several incidents where numerous African Americans and Hispanics were falsely detained and subjected to unethical line of questioning by Macys LP representatives with no merit at all. During those incidents, the rights of many of the individuals who were falsely arrested were violated. During their detainments, they would be subjected to vulgar line of questioning and in some cases they wereeven strip searched down to their under garments. Specific Macys in general (Aventura, Pembroke Pines, and Dadeland which are all located in FL) have shown an excessive amount of false arrests where they had detained subjects simply because they believed they might have shoplifted from their establishments, and majority of the time it would be individuals of color (Minorities) who are dressed a certain way (Hats, tattoos, hooddies, and etc). Unfortunately, we are seeing a lot of racial profiling in our communities nowadays and in some cases it has a tragic ending (I. E The Trayvon Martin case). Believe it or not there are many more cases that aren%u2019t being brought to light. Fortunately, there is going to be a source where anyone can share their stories with the world and potentially seek help if they themselves have been a victim of Macys%u2019 unlawful and unethical practices.
