The left hand in this company doesn't know what the right hand is doing. One person will send you a work order and on the same day while you are on the way to the job an email comes to my phone from someone else in the company telling me the work order has been canceled and I have 24 hours to send them the photos. Then they turn around the next day and send you a new work order for the same property they canceled the day before under a new work order number.
When you apply to work with them they send you a ton of forms. Five of the memos I received was about the same thing over and over about cutting grass. Talk about wasting trees, and not being environmentally friendly! Definitely not a member of the GREEN team way of thinking or doing business.
Some of the people are rude. If you make certain ones mad they will throw your work in the trash and tell you they never received it. There goes more trees, and the time to get the pictures developed, type the work statement, put a stamp on and mail it.
It takes 2 months to get paid, and with the little amounts they pay, by the time they take their money off the top, I have to still eat Ramen Noodles and PB&J sandwiches for the rest of the month, even after I have already been eating like that for 2 months while waiting to get paid. I bet they are over there in CA eating steak. If I wasn't so broke I would drive across the desert to CA and get my money sooner. I think I will find a company that pays more so I can eat steak for a change too! Just because I am the small subcontractor doesn't mean I don't deserve good pay for good work. Think this will be my last rodeo with CVMS. Take note: Get copies of everything and make them sign all paperwork before you do your first job so there's no surprises later. Take care and BEWARE!
