Well heres my story. A new year and my new dental insurance made me choose a new dentist. So i look through the providers and find advance dental care in clearwater. I make my appointment with the provider in network. Never realized i would go through so much grief. I make my appointment and everything looks good no cavities. But the doctor says you will need a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning cause you have periondental disease. My first reply was my dentist i have been going to for years never mentioned that to me. So she says well you need to get it done and your costs out of pocket will be 80.00. And then you need to do it every 3 months. So im like okay your the doctor i guess i need to believe what she is saying. So they make my appointment and the day before i go to confirm the lady says we dont have you down for tomorrow. So im like okay well schedule me again so she did for the following week. So i get my deep cleaning done finally as she told me to do. I left and for weeks my mouth was hurting bad. So i went back to my old dentist thats been doing my teeth for years and she took a xray and said it looks like you may need a root canal on tooth 19. So i call back clearwater advance dental care and the secretary makes the appointment for a root canal. I go there and the doctor says everything looks good but you should order a mouth guard which maxed out my insurance. At this point i dont know what to believe.
My old dentisit has always been honest with me so here i am like hymm this dentist is shady.
Im still feeling pain so i go to another dentist just to see what she says and she says your tooth needs a root canal. So know at this point im real upset as the dentist thats in network has maxed out my insurance and orders a mouthguard i dont need, lies to me and i need a root canal cause the deep cleaning advanced dental care did made me need a root canal. So i call them to ask them kindly to give me my money back and i will go somewhere else as at this point im done with this company as they are commiting fraud by upselling things you dont need and ordering things you dont need and just completely crooked.
The bottom line is they are worst than a criminal making customers that dont need deep cleanings get them, causing trauma to teeth so you will need a root canal and ordering mouth guards to make fast money. Do not go there they are crooked and you will be sorry and a victim like me. So far to date im out of pocket over 800.00 and i still need a root canal which will cost about 1,000.
