Margaret Kaufman was interviewed by the local TV media in Johnstown, PA. She told all the viewers they are not in any financial trouble!
The next day all the Kaufman's stores were closed. I have called on the phone numbers-including Altoona's—where we purchased my daughters dress, veil and all bridesmaids dresses. I then started calling the vendors. The vendor for the wedding dress will work with me directly and sell me the wedding dress for at costs. I am still waiting to hear back from the bridesmaid vendor. Both vendors are upset with Kaufman's. The vendor for the wedding dress stated they quit shipping dresses to Kaufman's awhile back and will never ship to them!
The stores are suppose to open on Monday-Omega Bank will pay for the employee's wages, however from what I am hearing its just for the brides dresses that are in the store. Is this what everyone else is hearing?
I also put a dispute claim with my charge company. However, the bridesmaid's dresses were paid for by checks.
I hope the Kaufman family gets punished to the fullest! Good luck to all in getting your dresses and money back!!
