Waggin train brand by NESTLE PURINA
Your company's "treats", made in china! Killed my best friend! Waggintrainbrand.com/contact.html

Your company's "treats" (made in china!) killed my best friend!!!

Nestle Purina / Waggin Treats — gt; You know this should be PULLED from the shelves. These complaints have been going on for MONTHS and MONTHS!

This My Story. Remember, I am one of 1000's (and growing) of people who are losing their FAMILY MEMBERS to your POISON products. Spare me the "company line" that your products are safe and made safely. They are NOT — and deep down — you guys KNOW IT!
Wake-up NOW and do the RIGHT THING.

My Story:
I just LOST my wonderful Westie "Max" (10 years old) this past Sunday and best friend to these contaminated treats by Waggin Train and Canyon Creek made by Nestle Purina. My dog has been sick over the last 4 to 6 weeks with stomach issues (especially vomiting, some diarrhea) which now appear to have been caused by these tainted treats.

These are treats that I have used before and had some at home as I have 3 dogs. My Westie loved these treats.
I too liked then because I thought they were REALLY U.S. Manufactured in South Carolina. The back of labeling on the package sure does read as if these products are properly made and prepared with the utmost care and attention for your dogs.

The jerky is even made from Free Range Chickens. Wow, thats better than the chicken we buy for our family! I only want the BEST for my dogs. That is what I thought I was getting from these treats. Of course, I was wrong, wronged, and duped! Very DECEPTIVE labeling.

My regular vet ran several logical tests but came up clueless as to what was causing his lethargy, lack of eating, and vomiting. He thought it was colitis so we tried antibiotics. That made my Max feel no better even worse. He was then tested for
Addisons Disease. Nope that was not it, as well.
Our Max lost about 4 or 5 pounds which for a normal 20 pound dog, is a lot of weight to lose so quickly (a 200 person who suddenly lost that % of weight would drop to about 150 160 pounds over that time obviously not normal).
Of course I think that this cancer or some other very serious disease like that. Other blood and urine tests prove negative but Max is still not right. However, his heart rate and pulse are now quite low. Between the weight-loss and the unbeknownst poison from a treat now coursing through his system, I now believe the toxins were being slowly be rooted into his brain.

After about 3 weeks it looked we got the issue under control with a round of oral steroids. He started to eat again and had more energy. He remained quite frail in terms of body weight but was happier. Then last week my Westie, Max, ate a chicken jerky that fell on the floor in our pantry. The size was only about 1/3 the length of a single jerky treat. According to the "feeding directions" a dog my size can have 1 full treat a day.

After about 3 days, Max appeared to have relapsed and presented with lethargy and vomiting. He was getting progressively worse by the day. I decided to once again look at the FDA website for dog food recalls. I looked at the site about 3 4 weeks ago and found no wet canned or dry food that that was fed to my dogs. We have been making our own wet food for about 6 years since the last big recall of dog food.

However, on Thursday (June 7) I decided to look at the FDA site again for Dog Food Recalls. This time I started to see comments on blogs about a serious problem with Dog Food Treats. To my absolute SHOCK and DISGUST I found that Waggin Train Jerky Treats or Tenders (Nestle Purina) and Canyon Creek Ranch Jerky Treats or Tenders (Nestle Purina) have been tied to contaminated chicken jerky pet treats made in China.
As mentioned earlier, these are treats that I have purchased several times in the past and have always had some on hand since last Christmas. My Westie especially liked these treats.
I began to piece the info together with the timing of him ingesting these treats, his physical distress, the inability of my regular vet and another very specialized vet to make a confident diagnosis of the situation with the reports of a mysterious illnesses affecting at least 600 dogs in the U.S. The mysterious illnesses is possibly (I say DEFINITELY) tied to chicken jerky pet treats made in China.

I am now confident that I found out what was the cause of my Westie Max being so ill.
I discussed the report with my regular vet. He heard some reports about it & but I got the impression he knew little about it.
I then brought my Max to a state-of-art Specialty Hospital that handles every complex case from dogs to cats to rabbits to lizards. They too seem to know little about the report. However, this time, I brought in the reports and showed them.
I said This IS the cause of my Westies problem. I am CONVINCED! Sure enough, after about 16 hours of IV fluids to try to flush out the TOXINS from his little body, numerous tests, and close minute by minute monitoring by the Critical Care
Team, my Max suffered a GRAND MAL SEIZURE. The TOXINS have now permeated into his brain. His liver could no longer properly filter his blood due to the unnatural TOXINS from these treats that have now completely POISONED his
system. As a result, his brain had begun to shut down, his heart rate dropped to very low levels. My wife and I
received a phone call at 5:30 A.M. That Max had a seizure and to be prepared. About 60 minutes later we get another call that his situation is gravely BAD and that it does NOT look like he will make it beyond an hour. We got dressed and said we will be there in about 45 minutes. I told the doctor to please call us if he passes before we get there. About 20 minutes later, the doctor called and said that our little guy passed.

As my family and I now sit here in SHOCK, I believe that someone or something must be punished for this criminal and negligent act. These manufacturing companies, the retailers who should be proactively removing these DEADLY products from their shelves, and the FDA, must be held accountable and brought to the legal woodshed.

Our pets (i.E., Family Members) look into our eyes and TRUST us to take care of them and love them. We are their VOICE. We do whatever we can for our dogs — and always have for all our dogs over the decades. I expect to be able to TRUST the companies that call themselves Pet Food Companies to provide SAFE and HIGH QUALITY products — especially from a company with the name "PURINA" on it!

In the meantime, the public must be made aware of this HORRIFIC situation and the IRRESPONSIBLE INACTION on the part of several BIG pet companies especially Nestle Purina and the FDA for not mandating that these products be RECALLED and IMMEDIATELY pulled from the shelves.

The result: A perfectly healthy, happy, dog and family member is now dead. What recourse do we have? There has to be SOMETHING and it must be STRONG, FAIR, and IMMEDIATE for the family victims hurt by these cheap Made in China manufacturer sellouts.

These overseas manufacturing practices MUST stop NOW!
Recall these TAINTED "Treats" NOW!!
