Olympic Moving and Storage in Morton Grove IL, an afflicate of VIP Lines Worldwide, provided moving service from Chicgao, IL to Royal Oak, MI in Sep 2003.
The original quotation was offered by VIP Lines and I accepted the quotation. VIP Lines had Olympic Moving deliver the service and on the very actual day of my move, told me that the quotation did not cover all my items. An addional $700 was needed to include everything. Olympic moving refused to honor the initial quotation from VIP. The overall quotation was misleading, dishonest and deliberately set up by the companies. I paid for their service, as at point in time I had not choice and had to make my move.
Upon delivery of my items in MI, there were damaged and missing items. My mattress and box spring were ripped in the corners. Thress of my four dinning room chairs were scratched and a lamp was missing.
I had filed a claim for the damage and loss in October, providing them with photogrpaphs and estimates. I followed up with a letter inquiring about my claim in December. I had tried contacting the company by phone had not gotten anywhere. It had been a year since and i had not had it resolved.
Olympic Moving and VIP proved to be very dishonest companies, who despite the very professional looking website, rips off consumers.
