Movers USA estimated by using a cubic feet truck. Of course they grossly overestimated the pounds I had. They said I had 15,000 lbs of stuff when a reweigh showed I had 8100 lbs. They charged me based on the 15,000 lbs and held my stuff hostage until I paid them in cash. I paid them on advice of the DOT only after the driver signed the receipt saying that I would be reimbursed for any over payment.
The reweigh showed that I overpaid them by $3000. Even though he had signed saying I would be reimbursed the driver refused to give me back my money.
