In November of I purchased a home theater system. I purchased a 3 year extended warranty on it. It's a home theater in a box unit. Just recently the dvd/cd player started acting up. I took it in to service department to have it fixed. They sent it off to service location.
I got it back and it still has same problem plus more. I was very upset and spoke to person at service department. They sent me to store where purchased. I spoke to electronics manager. They said to call the place that it was worked on at to speak to them about my dissatisfaction. They said go speak to manager of store.
Went there and spoke to assistant store manager. He said the main manager was on vacation. He said all they could do is provide a replacement, when I demand a refund. They finally let me speak to customer relations in Illinois. They said they would do investigation and call back Saturday to let me know what to do next. They'll probably approve a replacement.
This is Thursday. To make along story short, it says in the ext. Warranty that if they are unable to fix a product under warranty, the customer has option of replacement or refund. They apparently don't want to stand behind refund part of agreement. I will try to talk to main manager monday. I don't know what outcome will be, but I know I'm very dissatisfied, so far.
