I cancelled our long distance phone service with IDT on March 19. I was told a refund of $36.48 would be sent in 90 days.
On 7/4, when no refund was received, I called the 800 #. I was told it would take any where from 90-120 days for the refund.
August 2,133 days after cancellation of my account, I called again. I was told the refund request was sent to billing on July 9th (four days after my last call).
To this date, Aug 12, I have not received a refund, or any communication from them.
I believe with holding a refund for 147 days is against the law. I realize $36.48 is not a lot of money, but it is my money, not theirs. I believe this would make a great class action suit, as I am sure I'm not the only one with this problem.
