First it is not clear who they are. They say they were Fisher agency for 21 years, then Josten speakers bureau, now Fisher again, but if you look at Josten ad on the net, home page has a Fisher logo. Then there is the fact that neither company is a corp, or a talent agent. The city of LA FAYETTE does not require business license, so I again ask, who are these people and what authority can they send out 30 people to our state schools. If they are a agent, that would mean they can take 12%, are these people enployees. Are they a agent, or are the a bureau. Schools need to be asking people this because if they are making contracts for these people, they need to know who is responsible for all of the people going out. Also school need to make sure that people are not coming in from other agency and telling these kids that they can make a great deal of money public speaking and how much they make. I am not saying they are doing this, but there are speakers doing this, in state schools. Using the school to recruit, and selling materials at the back of the room, for all personal profit at non profits can not be done. Schools need to watch this, also companys that sell tickets, and take 50% of the ticket sales at the door.
