Diamond Van Lines was contracted to move us from California to Texas. They showed up 4 hours late to pick up the goods. They damaged a wall and a water line by removing a refrigerator. The contract stated delivery 15 to 30 days. They loaded on a Monday and stated they would deliver on Sunday, which was 6 days. We waited for their call as was promised but nobody showed up and no call. We called and were told the new delivery date was Wednesday. Then the date was changed to Thursday and now is set for Friday.
The office staff is pleasant, but the owner; Adam, claims no responsibility for anything. He claims that his company never gives delivery dates and stands behind their general 30 day delivery. No apology or compensation for anything. The price is already discounted to account for possible damage to our house. The last straw is when the driver contacted us and was only concerned about the last payment for the move. We said we had postal money orders (they claim they take credit cards, but later say some people cancel. I wonder why?) made out to the company. He was upset that they were not made out to cash or left blank. So wondering if the driver is going into business for himself. The goods have yet to be delivered, so we still don't know when they will be here or what shape the stuff will be in. My wife hopes they wont destroy the house unloading. BEWARE, hire these people at your own peril.
