Received a call from this company claiming to be a staffing company that has a office in michgian and in california. I was given their website to view and noticed there is only one page to it with no contact information or address. My interview was going to take place at a nearby cafe. This did make sense being that the businesses city is a hour away.
I was given a office number and cell phone number to contact the recruiter. A little while later, I decided to call the office number and it was disconnected. I called the number back again and a man's voice and name was given.
During the whole conversation earlier I was speaking to a woman so this was very strange when I found out the phone was disconnected then at the same number dialing it a second time there was a man on the voicemail.
The third time I called the number the woman's voicemail message was put back on. I called the cell phone number given several times thinking this was just a scam. The woman did call me back and tried to explain that they do not post jobs on their website and the mans voice is their CEO. What kind of staffing agency has the CEO on the voicemal and their website has no address or phone number. This is a scam because something funny happened with the office phone number that was given. This person I am writing about found my resume on monster.com and the only thing I could think of would be that they are trying to get personal information such as a social security number for identity theft. Other than that, I don't know what their purpose is because this is obviously not a real company. Any real staffing agency will show their clients on their website to create business and revenue. Any real company would have at least their address on their website and not have just a one page website. Anyone can create a one page website and call themselves a business. I have never heard of this company and just now heard of this city here in michigan. Just wanted to put this out there because I believe it is some sort of scam.
