I worked at this place last year. I went B2B to try to get people to buy office supplies. I loved everyone I worked with, well except for the manager/owner - STEVE. This arrogant man really has no idea how to run a business. He never practiced what he preached and was lazy. He always told people how to do their job, but I never really saw him do it. He was always talking about getting new campaigns, but he couldnt even run his office with any success. There was really only 1 or 2 people who made any kind of money, and they were really good at what they did. I applaude them for it, but as for every one else, forget it, it was pointless. From what an employee told me, the previous manager ruined the territory and it wasnt going to be fixed, so I quit.
For the longest time, I actually thought his girl friend/office manager ran the company. She always told him what to do, and he just said " well without her, we wouldnt be here, so I guess I gotta do what she says ". Funny, I didnt see her signing pay checks! Everyone in that office hated the fact that the manager's girl friend worked there, it was awkward and inappropriate at times. I heard him talk to girls in ways that a manager shouldn't do, let alone while his girlfriend was there.in fact, one girl quit and then told people that he groped her&I believe it. They routinely got drunk together, so who knows.
This business has a very cut throat approach, if your not kissing the managers a*, you won't get ahead. I have heard of SEVERAL people getting ran off because they didn't conform.in fact, I have heard that he FIRED several of the people who made that office successful. Its like cutting your nose off to spite your face. All I hear is how noone makes money except 1 person. And this person is a pompass, arrogant man who doesnt know how to teach it to others, therefore everyone in going to fail. This kid thought he was hot stuff with his hat and glasses. Look guy, you will be a victim of this guy too... YOUR NOT A SAVIOR!
The bottom line for this report is that this guy runs though employees like water and doesnt do anything to help them. He just says " F@%K them " if they want to quit or ask for help. I hope people find this and do their research first before working there. Gas is $4 a gallon people, DONT DO IT! I watched as he got rid of several good people, people who made that office what it was, but due to his laziness and unwillingness to work, other people had to bear the brunt of his laziness by losing their jobs or being forced to quit. When I quit, I made up some excuse about needing to quit due to family, because I didnt want to him to screw me on my paychecks. I heard that he did that to people who quit in the past that he didnt like. I actually know of an Asst Manager in New York that got fired because the manager became inpatient with him not being able to "Build a team". From what I heard that manager was Lazy too. Seems to be a common theme in that business. I'm sure its happened before and will happen again, wouldnt surprise me if it's happening right now. Stay away
