Our co-op has been shipping milk to Stickney for over a year. They have been getting farther and farther in the rears on paying. We stopped shipping to them after the first week in June.
We agreed to a 45 day pay. The last check we had was sent in mid-June for milk we had shipped the first week of March. We haven't seen any checks since.
At present, they owe us over $29,000.
Any suggestions on how to collect would be appreciated. We have 6 farmers and a milk hauler waiting on this money.
Perhaps you're not familiar with farming. Even though we are not getting paid, the animals still must be milked and fed.
