Recently my Verizon wireless bills have nearly doubled without any change in our use or habits. Keep in mind I've had my phone for nearly 3 years and my bill has been the same every month with exception to the last 3 which coincidently coincides with when Verizon stopped listing the incoming number.in the past the incoming numbers to the phones were listed on bills but are now shown simply as my cell number. This is "to protect the privacy of the people who call cell phones" that's what Verizon has told me.
I've gone back and forth with Verizon trying to get the incoming numbers because that's where the discrepancies are. There are calls made to my phone that simply didn't happen, they don't make sense. I've heard every excuse imaginable from Verizon and I've even been instructed how to lock my phone. Like I don't know how to use the thing?
After about half a dozen complaint e-mails I finally had one rep tell me to "put a mark next to the calls I don't recognize and send them in or call the investigations department" I replied and said I want the entire call list because I know they're ripping me off. Then I was told "we can't give you incoming call numbers because it's the law and against company policy." It's NOT the law and I told them they have a convenient way to over charge me without any possible way for me to prove it. I find it very strange that my bill has been exactly the same amount every month for over 3 years and now that Verizon doesn't show the incoming numbers, my call minutes have double and so has my bill. They are flat ripping me off and there's no question about it.
