I received an e-mail saying I had won a lottery that had been drawn in January 04. The first thing that came to my mind when I seen this was how exactly could I have won a lottery if it was near impossible for me to get internet access seeing as how I had been deployed in Iraq for a year. When I was able to get internet access I only used it to email friends and family because the internet connection was so slow.
I've heard a little bit about internet scams so I decided to respond to the email to find out a little more about this company. There were a few spelling and grammar errors, which seemed a bit odd considering most companies are more professional then that so I did a search for similar "lottery winnings". I found reported scams that were identical to the one I recieved in every way except for the company contact information.
