Ethan Platteborze has defrauded at least ten people that I know of at this time. He is a liar and a thief. He takes people's money and then fails to deliver the goods that he represents he will deliver.
KPTV 12 in Portland did a story on this thief. He even used an English accent with his own girlfriend for over 5 years. Currently, Ethan is living in Las Vegas but still running his web site and I still get calls from people who he has defrauded.
The Hillsboro Hi-tek crime team looked at this guy and they have numerous police reports, but they declined to prosecute because of the out of state witnesses and the cost, etc. I am taking him to trial on the case where he defrauded my client out of about 23,000 dollars and expect to get a punitive damages judgment against him that will not be dischargeable in bankruptcy.
I will then continue to monitor and chase Ethan until I collect what he owes my client. Yes, he will likely be indicted by the U.S. Attorney's office, but don't count on it. This guy has been stealing from people for far too long.
He needs to be stopped. If he rips you off, call the Portland branch of the FBI and ask for agent Chris Davis. Also, you might call Kerry Tomlinson of KPTV Channel 12 and tell her. They have quite a bit on this guy. Ultimately, Ethan is going to go to jail.
