I too have been a victim of Cavalier Salvage, and there are NUMEROUS cases around the country.
If you send Cavalier Salvage any money, kiss it good-bye.
I too wired money, (also for shelf-pull, non-defaced Craftsman tools). After a month went by, no merchandise... So I began complaining. When I threatened to go to the police, a truck with about $500.00 worth of Sears returned-defective junk showed up.
I refused to accept delivery even though Ethan begged me to do so (he wants his little scam to be a civil problem... Not a criminal one). The trash on the truck bore no resemblance to anything I ordered. He just wants to claim his scam is a "contract dispute, " rather than outright FRAUD.
Ethan is a CON ARTIST, PERIOD!
He runs his little one-man scam out of an apartment and changes mail drops as often as most people change their clothes.
Ethan's rebuttals to an earlier complaint posted here are phony as well.
Ethan just gets several vanilla e-mail accounts and posts whatever he wants using fake names.
Check with the Portland-area Better Business Bureau... They give a "do not do business with" recommendation due to "numerous unresolved complaints on file."
Lawsuits are pending in Washington County Circuit Court, among others.
