I was hired by Bill Presnell, to deliver and assemble sports equipment of all sorts. My delivery radiaus was 40 miles. Due to the fact he had no techs in some areas, Bill sent me all over the state, with the agreement that i would be paid for my time and fuel expenses.
Months went by, with Bill telling me he was billing the customers and that i would be compensated for my time and travel. Not only was that untrue, he never paid me for over a dozen jobs that I worked very hard on, and spent my own money to complete. (tools, materials, fuel) With not alot of work in my field, i continued to work for Bill, believing that he would do what he kept saying he would. More time went by and Bill just owed me way to much money to keep on working for him, and paying the expenses out of my own pocket. I finally told him that i would need to be payed in full (over $2500.00 at this time) if he wanted to keep me as a tech.
Bill did finally pay me some of the money after i threatened to take him to court. At this time he still owes me well over $1500.00. And when my schedule allows, I will be filing a claim.
