I responded to this company's offer sent to my email. Their website seemed very professional. When I placed my order, they asked me to pay the $778 in advance.
I sent them the money, and then some days after their promised delivery, wrote to them and called them. I never heard back from my emails or phone calls.
About a month later, I asked an attorney friend of mine what I should do. He suggested that since the company was situated in California, I would need a California lawyer to handle it. I called my cousin, a Los Angeles attorney. He contacted PrintBuys and told them he was representing me in my complaint.
Within a few days, they had refunded my money to my credit card account. Soon after that, I received a letter from them, telling me that they had a "glitch" in my project, and hence had abandoned it. They offered to re-do the order at a discount of $50. I wrote back, and told them that due to my earlier experience, I didn't want to put any more money upfront. I asked them to do the project, and bill me afterwards.
I never heard from them again, with the exception of continued solicitations for my business.
