Mr. Richard,
First your June 1 letter signed Richard shows me you do not want anyone to know your last name for fear of a lawsuit based on as you well know -this deception and looks like countless others, based on what I have read on the internet. No one seeing my first agreement, of (5) five years (500) five hundred minutes peak, free unlimited calls weekends and nights 7pm to 7am and (25) twenty-five cents for each minute over -for a so - called second agreement of (400) four hundred minutes peak and whatever weekend minutes and whatever calls weekends and nights 9pm to 6am and (45) forty-five cents for each minute over-no logical person would
believe anyone would accept a worst agreement in place of the original agreement. Your first month's billing showed the total screw up. I never went over 335 minutes in any month but your first month's billing was for over 600 minutes.
None of this makes sense. There was no multiple means which you informed me of a contract-as you stated. Right now there are no terms or conditions of this so-called contract, that has been given me or that I have agreed to. My telephone call to customer service as I stated -the agreement sent me was in no way what I agreed to. Your service rep. Stated the mistake and said they would correct the last so-called contract and send me an updated version supposedly stating the old agreement was going to stay in place.
As yet I have not seen an updated so-called agreement. As I stated -I was told that Verizon wanted to update their cell phones and because I was with them for 5 years I was entitled to a free updated cell phone. No mention was made of a new contract. You're saying it doesn't make it so (what terms and conditions). Maybe that is why Verlzon is being sued by several State Attorney Generals.
I stated in my last letter opening a box with as I was told was a free cell phone -then you put in a piece of paper stating otherwise is most definitely deception and I will send it back if you decide that upon my accepting the cell phone constitutes a contract - then by my sending it back constitutes no contract.
I do not and will not have any contract stuffed down my throat through lies and deceit. I see no difference between the gangsters of the 1920's and your organization. The gangsters tried to force agreements through lies and deception and when that failed -they threatened to do bodily harm. Your company does the same with one twist-no physical harm - just economical harm.
If I could I would force you to have all contracts in writing signed by customer. As noted on all my fax letter heads-you might want to try living by them: Honesty, Truthfulness, Integrity, Ethical Conduct, Common Decency are not feeble words; but actions honorable people live by.
It is a shame that sorry individuals who not only lie and deceive new customers; but feel they must screw over their old customers. We had an honorable customer and supplier relationship for 5 years. I guess it is not in your nature to be any of the above.
I have forwarded my formal complaint with the Idaho State Attorney General's office of consumer complaints and the Federal Communications Committee. I will also forward your June 1 letter and this reply letter there also. It will be interesting their thinking your as you say free phone in box with shipping paper saying the reverse so-called acceptance of a contract. No terms or conditions, start or ending dates.
