On October 31, I sent for a free trial offer from Nue Science which I saw advertised on the internet. The ad said that I only had to pay the shipping fee of $4.95 USD. The $4.95 appeared on my November credit card statement. Yesterday (December 6) I finally received the product However, today I noticed that on my December credit card bill, I had been charged $98.45 USD by the same company.
I phoned to see what this was about and the customer service lady said that this was a 16-day trial offer and if I didn't want the product, I was to let them know within the 16 days or I would be billed the full price. When I pointed out that I only received the package yesterday (much longer than 16 days), she replied that it was because I live in Canada that it took so long but that I should have let them know within the 16 days that I hadn't received it.
I have tried to find this ad again to see if there was any fine print anywhere that gave this information, but when I click on the ad, it says that the page cannot be found. I do have the copy of my original order and it says only "Nue Science Cell Revival Trial - Total order $4.95."
I hope that others will be aware of this before ordering and look carefully for the fine print - if there is any.
