I was approached by Whilemina Scouting Agency in the mall and they told me I should attend an open casting call at their location in Manhatten. The scouting agent told me I had potential, and at the open call they would take my measurments, a professional headshot and interview. I went to the open call.
They did take my measurements, they did give me an interview, and their professional picture was a close up poloroid. I am not being conceited, but I am a pretty girl. The polaroid they took couldn't make me look any more disgusting! Then they told me that if they were interested they would call me the following night at 9:00 pm
They called. They told me that I was beautiful and scored a 9 out of 10 at the open call. I should have known there was something wrong when they said they were looking at my polaroid. Then they told me I had to pay $995.00 that night if I wanted to be on their website and to return to take a professional photographs. I payed.
I returned to take the photoshoot only to find out that the photoshoot wasn't scheduled yet. I had to sign papers first and their photographer would only be there for one weekend. Ohh yeah, it cost another $795.00- Did I tell you that I am only 20 years old, and my parents werent paying for any of this? Well it's true.
So I scheduled the photoshoot, because c'mon I'm going to be a model! They said the making artist would call me three days prior to the shoot to find out my clothing sizes because she needed to go pick up designer clothes. I never got the phone call. So I called her.
The make up/clothing girl had no idea that I was scheduled and had to "fit me in" I went to the photoshoot 3 days later, and the make up was alright, not too hot. The clothing looked like something you give away to the homeless and the hairstylist never showed up. The photographer was good, he told me that Wilemina would be getting my pictures in 10 days and I need to call them to confirm then return to pick them up.
10 days later, no pictures, 12 days later no pictures, 11 months later, still no pictures! I was one of the really annoying customers that calls every day and leaves messages but never gets a call back. Finally I recieved a phone call and was informed that Wilhemina went out of business, and all the pictures were sent to the Florida office.
I called the Florida office and they said they received all the pictures left behind and they would call me back. Several phone calls later they let me know the they no longer have my pictures and there is nothing I can do. But I was still being charges for the past 11 months 19.95 a month for have my picture on their website... THE POLAROID!
Please don't fall for their scam! I am $2,009.45 short and pissed like never before. I understand I should have done researching before signing my life away, but I should still get my damn pictures back. So... Lou Pearlman, I would love to know how you went Bankrupt. Didn't you discover N*sync and O*Town, F*CK YOU!
