My 7 year old son was scouted in NJ while out with my aunt shopping. I went to the open call where there were a ton of parents and children! We watched a video and were there for over 2 hours and no one mentioned any money! They said they would select from the kids and if your child was picked you would get a 2nd interview.
My son made it to the second interview so I was told to bring snapshots of him. I returned two weekends later with my son and the photos, at the last minute I was told about the $995 fee so I decided to think it over and told the talent executive I would get back to them on Monday. She kept 4 or so of my son's pictures. Her name is Jackie and the other exec's name was Luisa.
I called the following day and told them I was not interested and would like to pick up my son's pictures. They informed me that Jackie was out sick and I needed to speak with her directly. I then proceeded to call them several more tmes and consisittenly got the runaround so I decided to go there without calling to find out that they can't find the pictures or the file supposedly after 30 days pictures and files are destroyed.
They will not call you to pick them up. They will not mail them to you. They supposedly shred them and destroy them. This was told to me by a so-called Manager there by the name of Susan 212-253-7080 ext 255. I am not sure what kind of action to take with this if the pictures are destroyed. I would be happy that they don't have them. I just don't think that's the case. These people are slick talkers and will make you believe that your child has what it takes! They are scam artists and veu dishonest people. Stay away!
