This person needs to be stopped.in December of we called in Ivan's Electric because he was simply the first advertisement in the yellow pages. It was a Saturday, so he said the after-hours charge to come out was $170. When he arrived, he said it was $270 and that we heard him incorrectly over the phone. We had a blinking chandelier in the living room. He spent an hour in the house and by the time the visit was over, he tightened two little screws on the lightswitch plate on the wall. Nothing more. $700 for tightening 2 screws (the light still blinks to this day). I unfortunatelty was not home; it was my wife who handled everything and Ivan took advantage of the fact that my wife knew no better. He then went down to the fuse box, said that he discovered a wire which was 'burning' and that it was an additional $500 to fix. Thankfully the red flag went on in my wife's head and she did not agree to this.
Here's the catch: Ivan was jailed for 3 months recently on a conviction of failing to pay income tax and was re-ordered to pay more than $250,000 in unpaid tax.

Needless to say, he's been wiped out, is a thief, a crook, and is now desperately trying to re-coup any lost savings by scamming the unaware public.
Action needs to be taken against this person, whether through means of writing a letter of caution about him and mailing it out to everyone in his neighbourhood, or by continuing to file complaints.
You can also flatly refuse to pay him, as he has no further recourse against you, seeing as the courts are well aware of him and will never award him a victory in any case.
