Jim Spears (owner of Commercial Maintenance Chemical Corp) trains his sales staff to cold call companies using falsified and unauthorized information, including names of senior executives, in attempts to close on sales over the phone. Without authorization from a decision maker within a company, CMC in turn sends out products like Green Gobbler sewer cleaner to unsuspecting companies. When you have received the unwanted product and attempt to send it back to their office in Farmingdale, NY, un-opened, you still receive an invoice for over $300. Then, when you call their customer service department to dispute the invoice, a "supervisor" named Nicole claims the charge is valid because someone signed for the package and CMC Corp would refuse any returned product to ensure that the invoice stayed open. They also threaten to file a law suit if the invoice is not remitted in full.
After researching CMC Corp, I have found several other companies that have been victimized by this scam. This is an unethical way to practice business, and CMC Corp should not be allowed to conduct business in this manner.
I hope this issue can be resolved to our satisfaction. I also hope we can be reassured that steps will be taken to prevent any other company from falling victim to CMC Corps scam. Please take action in stopping CMC from continuing with this scam!
