Val-U-Ads, Specialty Promotions & Advertising The Truth About Val-U-Ads

Mission Statement:

To provide an outstanding place for our employees to work, an excellent advertising value, and quality service for our customers in an enviromentally friendly manner.

Nothing could be further from the truth. I worked there for 6 weeks when John Brooks, sales manager, or Mr. High Pressure fired me. Everything he says is a lie! Just like a used car saleman, he says, "Let me be honest with you!" (Up to that point everything was a lie!) Smart sales people Never say anything like that! If John's lips are moving, he is lying. He is the most deceitful person I have ever met! If he nose grew with the lies he tells-his nose would have circled the earth 5X! Beware: If he lies once, he lies twice, and he will bite you to keep his job! Snakes lie, cheat, and steal!

Outstanding place to work, my ass, it was the worst place I have ever worked! John Brooks suffers from a severe inferiority complex. John has a limited self image so he has to make fun of people, puke on their parade, envy them, and at 30 he still thinks sex is funny! He has no parade of his own, so he must rain on yours. I knew he came straight from the used car business when he told me to say, "What would it take to earn your business today?" That is the dumbest question ever asked in sales! Then, he had me ask, "Have you heard of us?" 2nd dumbest question. And the 3rd dumbest, "Can you tell me a little about your company?" Yes, these are all his sales techniques! Knowing what it takes to get someone's business is the least used and the most powerful technique of gaining new business. Here's the secret, John-Boy, the job for a salesperson is not to just use it, it is to master it!

The name is Val-U-Ads, but no one, and I mean no one can sell value. Seriously. The girls beg and plead with customers to get them to sign on the dotted line. They even go as far as stalking their customers until they say yes. It is estimated that 50% of all sales are made because of friendship. No kidding. And yet, Val-U-Ads fires salespeople like they change their underwear.

Billions are spent online, but soon it will be trillions. Val-U-Ads canned website is a joke. My 6th grader could have created something better. They should be taking advantage of leading edge technology, having a website that is service friendly, question friendly, sales friendly, and can rapidly respond to e-mail inquiries. Secret: The company who's easiest to do business with-wins! Duh...

Then John Brooks fires you so he can get all of your accounts, unless, of course, their BIG CITY ACCOUNTS, then they become HOUSE ACCOUNTS. Think about it, it's just like a Ponzi scheme, they pay you nothing, you work your ass off, and then they ultimately end up with all you accounts... And what should have been your residual income. What a deal... For Val-U-Ads and John-Boy Brooks.

City Search claims they have been in busines since 1987. However, according to the Secretary of State, they began on 12/1/1998. The BBB has a different date completely. Check it out.

Other advertising agencies keep their account executives for 20 years like Valpak. Val-U-Ads employess only average 6 weeks tops! And Diane, the bookkeeper will never get your paycheck right!

Fact: Direct mail is the most recycled material in the world. Don't let Val-U-Ads fool you. They say they are a green company, but the truth is: they are just cheap, cheap, cheap! And food doesn't look that good in cheap-ass newspaper print!
