Bought a Sharp 60" TV. I thought i saved few hundreds compare to other retailers price, but i was so wrong. When i got the TV, I called Sharp to register the product for the 1 yr manufacturers warranty but i was surprised to find out that the TV is not new but in fact a "REFURBISHED" one! Therefore, Sharp cannot give me any warranty because this is not a new item.
I wonder why others gave this a 5 star review? I guessed they haven't found out yet that their item is refurbished. I wished i read the reviews (negative reviews help) before buying on this site. I called Zibdirect to ask them why they send me a refurbished TV when i purchased a new one? They said some of their TV are "classified" which means it can be new or refurbished! I told them that prior to purchasing this TV, i confirm/asked them if this a brand new TV and they confidently said "it is."
In short, the word "classified" for them means they have to deceive the buyers claiming what they sell are brand new and see if the buyer will find out and if not then they can get away with it! As a buyer you think you had a good deal. Not really, because you bought a refurbished one which is suppossedly way cheaper if you knew it from the start. This is fraud! You're lucky if the product indeed will not have problems during the 1 yr manufacturers warranty otherwise if something happenned before manufacturers warranty it's too late for you. And 100% guarantee Zibdirect will not refund you. For few hundred savings, i have to deal with all these inconveniences, emailing, contacting Zibdirect to return this TV and disputing this charge w / my credit card co. This is a lesson learned.
