Misleading info and horrible customer service

Customer service basically told me that i had ordered the "cheap stuff" and if I wanted my furniture assembled, I could order a more expensive line! Or. I could just cancel my order! They had rather lose the sale than try and compromise or help the customer. Delivery info on website very misleading!!!

Here's what happened!
My husband gave me a beautiful new bedroom suite for my birthday. (61st!). I was so excitied that he picked out. Just what I wanted!!! We have been waiting for the delivery date. And were getting the room ready. He checked the order yesterday and found that the delivery date was 10/23!!! He, call customer service to verify. Was then told that the furniture would be delivered and left, basically "on the street!" He was quite confused as he had paid for the delivery fee. He went to his order

Confirmation. Clicked on his order number. Order details. Then he clicked on SHIPPING CHARGES. Which took him to IN HOME DELIVERY... Then delivery details. Then... LOCAL IN HOME DELIVERY and then those DETAILS. Which read: Local In-Home Delivery DetailsIn-stock merchandise is usually delivered within 5-10 business days, though some areas may take longer. Service via dedicated delivery partners for customer addresses within our local delivery areas (locations near our stores or warehouses). 1-2 days

Before delivery, you will receive a call with a 3-hour delivery time frame.includes two-man service and placement in a room of your choice. All furniture is delivered inside the first door of your home. Furniture descriptions with In-Home Delivery include inside delivery, assembly of furniture and removal of packaging. Get something that he was not intitied to receive. The customer service agent was very rude ane condecending. When Jim kept trying to tell her what he was reading on the web site UNDER HIS ORDER. She keep saying. No. That was for furniture only. And our's was "assembly required.".. Now, was our order NOT furniture? And why on each page that we opened under delivery, did it say that they would deliver inside and set up the furniture? The agent kept putting him on hold. My husband is a very patient man

And did not yell, curse, or get irrate. He just wanted an explanation of why the web site was saying YES, it would be brought inside and set up. And she was saying NO, it was not furniture..?? She finally asked if he "just wanted to cancel the order? Was that what he wanted to do?" He calmly said 'NO.." and she put him on hold again for a while and another agent., Niclole, I believe, came on the line and he went thru the same thing all over again... She also just kept telling him that they would not set

Up the bedroom and that it was not furniture. Since it said on the website picture of the bedroom suite, "assembly required"... We did see that quote, but, under HIS order confirmation, it said, they would come in. Set up. Etc. As noted above, IN HOME DELIVERY... After being asked again if he wanted to cancel his order. He finally said, o.K. If you keep asking if I want to cancel. Then fine, cancel the order. We can not morally do business with companies that do not honor what is in writing on their

Website., My husband had been in the hospital all week with heart problems, undergoing tests and cardio caths... He could NOT, have brought in and set up all the bedroom furniture. BUT, he did not mention that to the agents as he did not want them to think he was 'finding excuses".. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and upset with Crate & Barrel.
