A narrative of my complaint to Mr. Johnson
Dear Mr. Johnson:
The purpose of the letter is to inform you of my dissatisfaction with your services within the past five weeks. For the majority of the last six months, it has been mostly pleasure doing business with you. However, recently you have missed
several promised deadlines, have not responded to my requests for corrections, and have otherwise become unresponsive to my reasonable inquiries as to why.
Before making my final payment on September 15, you or a representative of your company stated in a written document dated September 14, the following:
We now have your Original book identification number and Library of Congress approval, the both information will only be
placed on your book when we sent it for printing.
Your book assignment for world wide bibliographic has already been made and approve, so we suggest that you don't make any more changes to this book, except grammatical changes.
Before this book is printed, there will be a proof, for final corrections, grammatical corrections especially.
Once this full balance is receive in full, we will place the LOC number, Identification number on your book and we will activate the bibliographic data.
Then we will print
I was urged to make the final payment because you stated you were going on vacation at the end of the month for a whole month, and that you would like to be able to finish up my publication before leaving - implying that my order
would be fulfilled prior to your vacation. Needless to say, you did not complete publication.
Subsequent to that conversation, I again asked when I should expect the books, and I was told after Monday, October10,
2011. Again, October 10th came and went, and my order was not received. Fearing that the shipment may have been misdirected, on the October 12 I asked for the tracking information but you have failed to provide that
to me, stating that you have no further information. At this point, I have no idea when to expect my order, and you have not provided me with any guidance. After several days and several failed attempts to contact you, you informed me that I
needed to pay a fine that had been charged to you. I did not understand how a fine charged to you was my responsibility. However, instead of responding to and alleviating my confusion, you became quite agitated to the point that you
hung up the phone on me! Since then, it has been impossible to have a phone conversation with you where the book is concerned.
I wish to note further, when I needed a website done, you indicated to me that you had the capability to design and build a custom website for me from scratch. You also informed me that I would need to pay the additional fees into your bank
account before you could initiate the action, and further that I needed to cancel and get my refund from Go Daddy where I had already created an account to design my website. Nonetheless, I trusted you and I made payment as instructed.
During the conference call with Go Daddy, I realized that the site you proposed to design is not a custom site as you had initially represented, but a free site not at all what I had envisioned when you pitched your web-building capabilities. You were agitated with the call because the Go Daddy representative informed you that he can transfer my domain name in seconds, but you wanted to do it yourself, because the representative works for Go Daddy, and you work for Eagle. You asked for my password to my account with Go Daddy, and I informed you that I could not divulge it, and that the account is cancelled. Once again you were agitated and told me you had other clients and hung up.
I have tried on several occasions to contact you on the phone to register my disappointment with the website, but my suggested corrections have not been done as requested. Now it seems I am being completely ignored.in the last week I have called you a total of ten times and left messages, and you have failed to return my call.
When I first contracted your services, you guaranteed my order would be filled in 6 weeks. It has been 10 weeks since I made my initial deposit. At this point we are 4 weeks overdue and it would appear based on your lack of responsiveness
that I am nowhere close to having my order filled. Accordingly, I am hereby requesting that you provide me with hard delivery date no later than October 18. Alternatively, if this not possible, then please kindly refund all monies paid to you, including the website charges, and return all materials supplied to you for the publication of the book. Additionally, you will then need to pay me for the editing of your book, at $4.00 a page, at 124 pages.in the event I do not hear from you, I will seek any and all legal recourse at my disposal to resolve this matter.
Mr. Johnson's reply to me was "I will not even waste my time to read this"
Since then, I have contacted the individual you referred me to Mr. Johnsonson, and through a conference call, I realized that Mr. Johnson is upset with me because I dared to ask questions about s fee that was charged to him and that he was asking me to pay. He has no desire to speak with me, or give me asny tracking information on the book, nor will he return my money for the unfinished website.
I received the book today finally, and it is quite unsatisfsctory. With gramatical errors and information that was left out... Still he refuses to take my call, and stated to the mediator that he does not want to talk to me. I cannot begin to use any other company because the corrections need to be made, and my copy, The Author's copy needs to be sent to me. I need your help. This is causing me great anxiety, as I have cancelled all my engagements for the launching of my book. Please help!!
