Company gave estimate of $525.00 for a 525 sq ft one bedboom apartment. Everything was already packed in boxes and the physical move to location was 5 miles. They required a credit card prior to the move even though we were paying cash in case we cancelled they told us. One of the drivers said he was ill and worked very slowly.
After 4 hours of little progess, we complained and company finally sent another crew to finish. After 12 agonizing hours they finished and presented us with a bill for $1300.00. We told the driver to call his supervisor that we were not paying $1300.00 for a move that should have not taken over the original 4.5 hour estimate. The suvervisor then tried to settle for $975.00 almost twice the original estimate. We told him we would pay the driver the $545.00 cash. The driver wrote paid in full and we initialled.
This move was on a Saturday. On Monday, Two Men and a Truck started taking out $100.00 increments from our checking account using ACH debit card withdrawals. We noticied it immediately and notified the bank. The bank put a hold on the account to stop any further withdrawals but our account was already at zero now. Two Men and a Truck even tried to submit altered signed documents to the bank to support their actions.
Do not use this company. The secound driver was never sick and it was an intentional scam to inflate the time and charges. Securing the credit card number up front should have been a warning to us.
