Changer Took $20 Bill - Attendant No Help

Attendant Patricia J. Stated that she could do nothing but take my phone number and have a manager call me back. I had put $20 bill in the changer and it took my money. I went to this business specifically because there was an attendant there but she could do nothing. She did not have a phone number that I could call right at that moment nor did she have any phone number to even give me. She said there was no number even though I told her that there was a phone on the wall but she said she did not have that number. I have the owners names that I got off of the business license that hung on the wall but Patricia did not even have a phone number for the business. She only gave me her phone number of 781-5911 which does me no good whatsoever. She stated that she does not have a manager at all. She would not give me the name of any manager. She stated that I should look up the phone number myself on the internet to find a number to call.

It was a good thing that I had more money on me else I would have not been able to do anything. I received no compensation at all from the attendant. Why even have a attendant present if I cannot get help when the changer took my new $20 bill. Patricia stated that she is only a cleaner and does not even get paid by Aqua Laundry. Again she said that she has no manager so I believe that nothing will happen as a result of my complaint with her.

I am filing this complaint because I believe that nothing will happen as a result of this incident and I want the owners to know that they have poor business practices to have someone working at their business that can offer no help at all.in fact she was busy outside placing an AVON order with someone most of the time we were there. So what is the purpose of an attendant if it is not helping the customers? Also there should be a sign and/or phone number on the charger so customers will know that they are at risk of losing their money with no compensation until a manager is available.

There are several cameras in the building which gives you the impression of safety but no warning that a changer will happily take your money with no recourse whatsoever. Shame on the owners for not even making their workers have any authority at all. Why isn't there a manager on duty that can at least be called when something like this happens. I know that I could be arrested for stealing $20.00 and yet my money was stolen and the response was "well, there's nothing I can do about it" even when I am on their cameras watching the whole event happen! She told me that I could call the police to file a complaint but upon calling the San Antonio Police Department, I was advised they could do nothing.
