Do not buy/build a meritage home!!!
It's a decent house, but Meritage as a company is not good to deal with. I've been trying to get my warranty work done for a year and a half with no luck. They've had me re-submit my list for warranty work 4 times and keep closing out the repair ticket without notifying me. They are great until they get your money - after that - forget about it. Their customer service is a joke.
Do yourself a favor and find a better builder.
