I'd a devastating shifting encounter with National Option Van Lines. I've been transferred appropriately five times and understand what to anticipate and just how to pack to get a transfer. I had been shifting a-4-room home saturated in furniture and results. Projected estimate was 9,000 pounds. I'd them appear again plus they up'd it to 12,000 pounds. (what I had been looking to notice). It was a cross country transfer from Oregon to Oklahoma. Here are a few of the issues received.
1. The driver PLUS ONE colleague (4-bdrm home) turned up at 6:30PM about the evening of the transfer and worked until night. The low-Language speaking driver suggested he'd reunite at 10:00AM the next evening, he turned up at 1:00PM the and labored until 3:00AM.
2. I informed the driver and co-worker numerous occasions to deal with containers CLEARLY DESCRIBED DELICATE to not toss them onto the vehicle, they did anyway. That is what smashed the gem and stained glass.
3. They double-covered our all-fabric furniture in plastic, then recorded it, subsequently coated it with covers, then recorded it again.
4. They used providing record STRAIGHT TO THE SURFACES OF MY OAK FURNITURE, subsequently plastic-wrapped it, then recorded it again.
5. We settled $100 additional for 3 furniture pieces (large Television, china hutch, tank) to become packed. These 3 items obtained MINIMAL QUANTITY OF CARE AND INTEREST. Switched it inverted to plastic cover and recording the stand. No packaging or cardboard to safeguard it or tank, simply put them about the vehicle.
6. They just introduced a 28' Uhaul truck towards the condo. They'd fill it, disappear for all hours (sell???) and return to load it again.
7. They plastic-wrapped and recorded a lawn mower, rototiller, and pressurewasher (each one of these are heavy-metal building and didn't require wrap).
8. I lost count after 50 sheets of recording and 3 2000' sheets of plastic cover. They did not provide near enough covers to safeguard the furniture.
9. After being informed FROM THE SHIFTING BROKER to depart my drawers full of garments, the movers might cover the whole chest and transfer it; the movers proceeded to sell and pack ANYTHING in each torso.
10. The movers UNBOXED a large number of boxes OBVIOUSLY PACKED AND LABELED FROM THE PRIOR MOVER, and reboxed them in ACVL containers.
11. The longer these 2 men worked, the more pissed-off they got and also the more violent these were to my furniture and rude in my experience.
12. The driver suggested the whole weight was more than 20,000 pounds (I've no method of confirming this because they may mix my material with additional masses for that journey).
13. No day/period was handed for appearance in the location. Our insurance professional and attorney are awaiting the vehicle to reach.
