Ok. My husband works for Millis. His dispatcher has on 3 different time tried to miss his home time. My husband had put home time in for a surgery that he was going to have about 4 months ago and this dispatcher wanted to fight with him on his home time. My husband always puts the home time in 2 weeks in advance and the day before the dispatcher tries to miss his home time. I called and tried to talk to the dispatcher. I was extremely unprofessional. All I was doing was asking and tried to understand what was going on. The dispatcher went off on me telling me that he is a truck driver first and that I need to explain to my son that he a trucker driver first. He totally did not care what it would do to this poor child. The dispatcher raised his voice at me and hung up on me. Really? I work for a dispatch center and I would never in a million years treat anyone that way. I called and asked for a manager. Not that will do anything because he is still going to miss the most important day in a child's eyes. Just because he is a truck driver does not mean that he does not get to be a husband and a father to his kids. It is his son's birthday and he is now missing the birthday deal all because of a dispatcher. The load is ready for him to come home now but the dispather wants to send him to another state and drop a load and come back to the state that he is in now and then go head home. Don't make sense. This dispatcher then calls my husband and tells him to get his Wife under raps. Wow. How unprofessional. I can totally understand if I called this dispatcher and raised my voice but he was yelling at me. I would totally understand if my husband was a slacker and gave Millis problems or always called out, but he works really hard for this company for them to do this to him. He does not call out and he jumps through hoops for this company. They told him when they hired him that Family means the a lot to them. They sure are not acting like it. My husband has talked to several drivers who have the same problem. I can't believe that they have ruined this birthday for my son. He has been crying for over an hour. He wants his daddy.
