I have never signed up for a service through this company, CIC. I had signed up for a free report through another company and had canceled that membership within the 30 day trial period so as not to be charged. When an unauthorized and unexpected charge for $79.95 appeared on my bank statement three months later, I called the company I had signed up with. They had no record of charging me, and pointed me to this company, CIC.
I looked up CIC on the internet, and usacomplaints.com was the first thing to come up. I called CIC, explained that I had NEVER signed up for an account with them - they said I had had a membership for over a year! If that's the case, why am I being billed now?! I mentioned that I had never been to their website, and when I did a search for their company, the first result was fraud complaints regarding unauthorized charges. They agreed to cancel my "membership" and refund my $79.95 within 7-10 business days. I obtained the name and employee number of the representative I spoke with. Now we wait and see if the money actually makes it back to my account...
