We leased a house in Ventura, Ca from 126 Properties, LLC based out of Costa Mesa, Ca. We signed a 2 year lease yet stayed at the property for approx. 4 years. During the length of our stay we had very few problems with landlord and/or the business owners and property management representatives, John and Lisa Morehart. However, the problems came after vacating the property. John M. Morehart not only did NOT return our $8,000 deposit or follow California rental law BUT threatened an extensive civil case law suit if we choose to move forward with the court judgement we were awarded in small claims court. John Morehart actually pre-meditates and tries to "set up" his clients from the time they sign lease contract with intention of not returning deposit. Beware of this property management company and John and Lisa Morehart of Costa Mesa, Ca.
