This is a company that sells Kirby vacuums door to door. The vacuum is awesome, and the demonstration was excellent. All was well as far as the salesman was concerned.
Then the owner came to the house with the price. $3,795! I told him no way wouldI pay that amount. He got out a piece of filter media from the demonstration and started listing discounts on it. The price was reduced considerably.
I agreed to make a down payment and finance the rest. He had the salesman start the paperwork, and he left taking the list of discounts with him.
After all was said and done, and the paperwork fron the finance company came in, my total discount ended up about $200! The sale was over the allowed three days and was final.
I ended up paying $2,700 for the vacuum without the shampoo attachment. After checking online I found out others were paying as low as $1,400 for the same deal.
This company is doing what I consider a deceptive bait-and-switch deal with a list of discounts that disappear with the company owner as he walks out the door. DO NOT do business with this company. There are plenty of other dealers who will offer an honest deal for a Kirby vacuum.
