Hi my name is michael Harkin, 3 years ago i looked into a franchise with chipsaway international. It promised with some hard work you can make a decent living with help and support from Chipsaway! Therefore i signed up to take a franchise in Northern Ireland. The initial investment chipsaway required was £42,500 plus another £10,000 - pound;15,000 to cover salary for the first 6-9 months. After 4-5 months i was struggling to earn enough money to cover my monthly outgoings for the franchise. I asked for help on numerous occassions however help did not come, although it was promised to me by one of the chipsaway directors on the open day that i attended prior to signing up and throughout my training. When i purchased my franchise i was told by the chipsaway directors that at the first sign of trouble with my franchise they would be on the first plane to northern ireland to help me and offer support. These visits nor support never came! Needless to say nine months after commencing trading in northern ireland and a further £2000 later i had to cease trading as i had no income and could not meet the outgoings of the franchise.
Three years later i am still paying for debts ran up by the chipsaway franchise and i urge anyone who is considering this franchise to invest their money elsewhere!
