I was buying a $2500 Sony TV at the Fair Lakes Virginia store. The sales person was excellent and courteous. After the credit card transaction was completed I was told that the delivery service would call the morning of the delivery and let me know when during the day that the delivery would occur.
I asked if they could let me know the day before as I would have to adjust my schedule and the sales person said he needed to ask the manager,
The manager came up to me and said they could not — and I asked whether he thought it was reasonable for me to wait to be told the day of when it would occur. Without more, the store manager informed me I was unreasonable and misrepresented that the competition does not do that as well (they do give at least 24 hours heads up with a window). The store manager then told me I can go then to the competition, I then cancelled the $2500 order.
