Invoice Credit you'll never see

In Dec. 2003 Nextel was running a special on the i60c phones. Buy the phones for $99.99 & after the second months bill cycle you would recieve a invoice credit of $50.00 per phone.

So that makes it $49.99 per phone... This was the special they (Nextel) was running before the end of the year. The salesman I dealt with was a nice gentlemen BUT I dont think he did his job correctly. When I specifically asked " So my 2nd months bill there will be a deduction of $100 (because I bought 2 phones) and basically I will just pay the applicable taxes?" He responded "Yes, that is correct" LIE LIE LIE... Well February came and I called Nextel Customer Care If that is what you want to call it.

The lady I spoke to said there is a promotion code on my account and that usually invoice credits are issued on the 3rd months billing cycle, She could not tell which code it was but to see on my 3rd months bill. March bill comes and this was the final draw for me. Called back spoke to a new customer service rep, my first months bill which printed only 7 days after I bought the phones & which I still payed 30 dollars and change for only 7 days of use. He told me I was given a invoice credit on both phones on my first months bill and that they bill a month in advance...

So every month I will pay my normal amount which is around $122 dollars and that my credit was given for the next billing period... After arguing with the man I asked to speak to a supervisor he told me They would treat me the same way and he never let me speak to a supervisor. THIS IS WHERE THEY SCAM YOU after I figured out what actually happened to me and probally many other people who bought that same phone you dont see that money UNLESS you decide to cancel your contract after your service agreement.

In my case my entire family has nextel now and it is used widely at my place of employment. So basically they dont honor there advertisements. They are telling you that you get a credit and a grace period of a month if you decide to end after your contract expires. Which we all know that then we will have all of a sudden went over our minutes or will accrue more taxes just so they get there money.
