I had recently broke up with my fiance and I had decided to try match.com and had committed to paying the 119.95 for 6 months to get the 6 month guarantee. After 2 days of using the site I had decided it was not for me! I had received some activity on the account.
I called to see if there was anyway to cancel and get a refund. I told them it did not have to be full that they could bump me down for the 1 month subscription so that they did not lose money. They said there was nothing I could do because I had used to site (sent and received messages).
So I am out 120 dollars for 2 days on a website that is totally bogus. I explained that their business practices were unfair. They said I could have called to get a free trial but no where on the website does it say that! They have something called State Terms where in certain states a customer can get there money back before the 3 day mark no questions asked... My state isn't one of them!
They kept telling me there was nothing they could do with I know is a BUNCH OF CRAP! If they can do it for one state why not another. What is worse is I am now unemployed and could really have used that 120.00 dollars for something better like my electricity bill or groceries for my daughter! Buyer beware of match.com! Rip off!!!
