Shape Magazine/North Shore Agency threatened my credit rating. They have fraudulent billing practices

I had ordered Shape magazine through my niece's school. When the subscription was up, I didn't renew. Renewal notices went into the trash. None were opened or sent back to the company.in March I received a letter from the North Shore Agency, Inc. Stating they were a collection agency and they would be seeking payment on the renewal of my magazine. (the one I did NOT renew.) When I called the company, I found I was NEVER given the opportunity to speak to a person, only options to select from a menu. (One of which was "I did not order this subscription". I found this questionable, at best.

I am saddened to think how many people have paid this bill thinking their credit will be ruined if they do not. This is fraudulent and harmful, and I didn't know where else to turn, so I came to you! These people need to be stopped!
