I received your address from someone that had a similar complaint about "Stainsafe". On the website complaint.
I am very upset at the arrogance of Stainsafe & also the company that sold the Warranty to me" Seaman's Furniture"
I purchased a five piece sectional sofa set. I have had nothing but problems since day one. It started with the sagging of the cushions over the bed part of the sofa. They sent me a piece of foam and told me to stick it in myself. I was unable to do it, so they sent out a tech, he got it in, ripping the cushion in the process.
Then after a few months of calling them about the rips that were occuring in the cushions they sent another tech out, He said he would order some covers for the ripped cushions. This was about 2 months ago, to date I have not received anything.By the way I was told in the showroom of Seaman's that the entire sectional was all leather. I discovered later on that it was a lie.
After repeated calls to Stainsafe we are at the stage of total frustration. They told me this morning that my claim has been denied, and no valid reason as to why.
What is really bothering me is the fact that I went to Seaman's to complain about Stainsafe They were not interested, all they said was that it was out of their hands.
I am sitting here with a "Five Year Leather Care & Protection Plan" I purchased the Sectional on 5/18/02
Seaman's took the stance that they were only responsible for the first year. Meanwhile all the complaints from us, took a year for them to respond back to us. What a racket!
I would be more than willing to respond to a class action suit or whatever, even if it cost me more than I would get from them, I do not like getting ripped off
