On September 25th I receive an e-mail from Maggie Whitford, Senior Editor at the APS.in the e-mail I was informed that The APS wanted to include a poem I submitted in an Anthology of American poems entitled "A Treasury of American Poetry" ISBN: 0-9743429-4-7. I was told that the book would be published in December.
I was offered to purchase copies of the book at a discounted rate and/or purchase a plaque displaying my poem with a personalized dedication. On November 2nd I placed an order with payment for the items listed below:
1. A total of four books. One @ $37.75 (29.95 plus 7.80 S & H) and three @ $26.75 (18.95 plus 7.80 S & H)
2.10-" x13" plaque One @ $46.75 (38.95 plus 7.80 S & H)
Total Payment $164.75
To date, I haven't received the products. I've sent several e-mails inquiring about the status of the books publication and my receipt of the plaque I ordered. I am not receiving any correspondance from them as to when I will receive the items I orderfed. They are totally ignoring me. I think that myself and others that submitted poems for publication are being deceived by the APS. I could understand a delay in the publication of the book, and thus a delay in delivery. But, I can't understand the delay in receiving the plaque or the APS failure to respond to my inquiries. I feel taken advantage of!
